National Park Slovak Paradise is located in the eastern part of Slovakia. It was founded in 1988. There are many incomparable natural karst formations. By the action of two rivers Hornád and Hnilec there were created two canyons - Prielom Hornádu in the north and Stratenský kaňon in the south. The typical phenomenons of the area of NP are the ravines with the numerous inbuilt technical equipments serving as the accessible apparatuses for climbing. For the public the following ravines are available:

-          Suchá Belá
-          Piecky
-          Veľký Sokol
-          Malý Kyseľ
-          Veľký Kyseľ
-          the cleft Kláštorná roklina

-          the valley Sokolia dolina
-          the cleft Zejmarská roklina


The most favourite underground caves and holes:

-         the ice cave Dobšinská ľadová jaskyňa

-         the cave Stratenská jaskyňa
-         the cave Medvedia jaskyňa
-         the hole Čertova diera

Recommended tourist destinations:

-          the cleft Veľký Sokol
-          the cleft Suchá Belá
-          the look-out Tomášovský výhľad in NPR the breach Prielom Hornádu
-          the caves in NP Slovak Paradise (Slovenský raj)
-          the waterfall Závojový vodopád in valley Sokolia dolina ( 70 m )
-          the water dam Palcmanská Maša
-          Smižianska Maša
-          Predná hoľa ( 1545m a.s.l.)
